    Appropriate attire

Friendly Pines is a Camp in the Bradshaw Mountain Range--a wooded area.  The elevation is about 6300 feet. The climate is usually dry with low humidity and cool evenings.

Outdoorsy clothes are suitable for this environment. Consider that you may be involved in sports activities/physical exercise (tennis, volleyball, hiking, team building activity, etc.). Also, if you plan to work out in the morning, be sure to bring appropriate attire.

    Recommendations are:

  • Long pants (suggest something like khakis, jeans, chinos), shirts, tunics (must be below hips sisters)
  • No one wearing revealing, tight clothes/pants will be able to participate in any activities or workshops
  • Preferably wear cottons/natural fibers
  • Hats/visors for outdoor activities
  • Tennis shoes, hiking boots, comfortable walking shoes; Sisters, heels are a very, very bad idea—in fact, do not bring---this is mountain country
  • PJs/Robe
  • Light jacket for evenings
  •

Contact us if you have questions!

What should I not bring with me?

Radios, stereo systems or anything that may disturb the peace

What items pertaining to the seminars should I bring?

Your Questionnaire, Courtship manual as a reference, Note pad, pens

Will there be child care provided?

There will be no childcare provided at the retreat. This is to ensure that participants are able to fully participate in all activities.

Can I participate in workshops as a presenter?

We are seeking FOI and MGT who are licensed in counseling/therapy, psychology and/or can provide best practices in the areas of communication, budgeting, merging blended families and long-distance relationships. You must demonstrate a level of expertise and complete a call for presenters form. If you are experienced in facilitating meditation or yoga, please email us.

Hopefully all of your questions have been answered. If not, please feel free to contact us at SinglesRetreat@noi.org

  • See you this August!
